Dualyse Expert is a double lumen antimicrobial polyurethane catheter for haemodialysis and high volume infusions.Fully radiopaque catheter introduced by the Seldinger technique. Rotating fixation wings and polyurethane extension tubes with clamp. Centimetre graduations from 9 cm from the distal tip. The (green) hub of the distal lumen allows administration of drugs during haemodialysis. Flexible distal tip. The ionic silver antimicrobial agent (Agion) is integrated with the bulk polyurethane material to minimise catheterrelated bloodstream infection risks. Silver ions are released slowly to ensure a long term efficacy. Dualyse Expert is made of a relatively rigid polyurethane catheter which is highly thermosensitive. The tube becomes much softer when inserted in the vein. The catheters contain photo reactive silver compounds. To protect the catheters from the light, they are supplied with a blind sheath.
